What does this mean?  Phone support rates increase by $10 per hour, so the average support call costs $2.50 more.  On-site visits outside of Dane County, Wisconsin cost $5.00 more per hour.  On-site visits within Dane County, Wisconsin cost $10.00 LESS per hour.  mHELP! was never used, so good riddance!

Meanwhile, since the last rate adjustment, my health insurance cost has more than doubled, I've had to increase my Priceline hotel bids by 20% just to keep the computer from laughing at me, the IRS mileage rate doesn't keep up with higher pump prices and I've added SendThisFile and GoToMeeting services.

Considering that this ADJUSTMENT is actually a CUT to local clientele, this is definitely NOT a raise, but merely SIMPLIFICATION...

eHELP!:  $90 PER HOUR (0.10 HOUR MINIMUM)¹

@HELP! WITHIN DANE COUNTY, WISCONSIN:  $110 PER HOUR

@HELP! ALL OTHER LOCATIONS:  $120 PER HOUR²

IRS STANDARD MILEAGE RATE (FREE WITHIN DANE COUNTY):  44.5¢ PER MILE

OTHER TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES³:  ACTUAL COST INCLUDING GRATUITIES

MEALS:  INCLUDED IN THE ON-SITE RATE

LODGING:  INCLUDED IN THE ON-SITE RATE

TRAVEL TIME:  INCLUDED IN THE ON-SITE RATE⁴

¹ Calls over 6 minutes in length are rounded up to 0.25 hour and, thereafter, up or down to the nearest 0.25.
² This will be invoiced as $110 per hour in FEES and $10 per hour in PER DIEM.
³ Rental car REQUIRED when I fly; arrival time is a crap-shoot and departure time is absolute!
⁴ Travel time in excess of billable on-site time MAY be billed at $50 per hour (two-hour visit doesn't justify six-hour drive).
