This Doctor Stills Makes House Calls!

We are surely blessed to live the Era of Electronic Efficiency!  Telephones, mobile phones, voice mail, email, faxes, data file transfer and the Internet have all but eliminated the need for paper, antacid, overtime (heck, manual labor, altogether!) and the need for on-site software consultation...AND PIGS FLY!

I cannot adequately extol the virtues of YARDI Professional Property Management for Windows!

But nothing's perfect.  Your staff isn't perfect.  Your network isn't perfect.  Your bank isn't perfect.  Lord knows, your owners may THINK they're perfect, but they're not perfect, either.  YARDI's not perfect...but it's very close.  (Oh - did I fail to mention that I'm not ALWAYS perfect?)

Sometimes, one or more of these less-than-perfect entities gang up on you and eHELP! just will not do.  Don't be alarmed:  this YARDIOLOGIST (The YARDI Guy) makes house calls!

While many support issues may be adequately addressed via my toll-free support line, nothing can replace on-site assistance.  General telephone support is not in the same league as a site visit any more than "take two aspirin and call me in the morning" is an alternative to a complete physical.  And, particularly in technical matters, the slightly higher on-site rate is often more than offset by less billable time for me and less downtime for you...out-of-pocket cost AND opportunity cost kept to a minimum.

It doesn't have to be an emergency visit.  Just convert from DOS and you can't get your checkbook balanced in Windows?  Need to walk through a few specific procedures you're not sure of?  Want to adopt some standard policies for your property management accounting and you need to show me your office "flow" for me to recommend several ideas based on my ten years as a Controller?  Care to buy me a beer?

If you're in Dane County, Wisconsin area, you're in luck.  For the barely more than the hourly rate you pay for prepaid telephone technical support through YARDI Systems, Inc., you can have me visit your office.  Heck, I'll throw in travel time and transportation expenses, to boot!

If you're outside my immediate service areas, you're still in luck.  My hourly rate is only $10 more ($20 more if by air) and it includes travel time and lodging (each of those within reason, relative to number of billable hours on-site), so your only additional charges are transportation expenses.

AIR, TRAIN OR BUS TRAVEL - A "NO EXCEPTIONS" RULE

Note that on a few occasions, I've not been promptly met on arrival (once, not until next morning after a few hours sleep at The Cockroach Motel near the airport) or have barely made my return flights.  Therefore, if I do not visit you via my POV (privately-owned vehicle), I will rent and re-fuel the cheapest rental car I can reserve at the CLIENT'S expense.  You wouldn't want to have to chauffeur me around for a few days, anyway, would you???  And the alternative cab fare (also billed to the client) mounts up very quickly, so it's cheaper to rent!
